Re: Painted frazzle vent
Needed to get some paint on rusty water intake line to hide it.
Subsequently the paint burns off it will not be to bad except for the PRV. will still be covered. Though that may not be a real problem though bad idea.

Should exist B-vent unpainted
Go on the fire in the fireplace.

Re: Painted exhaust vent
The rusted line looks like a standard outdoors screw on hose, non soldered copper. Paint wont set up it. I hold that the painted TPR is more likely to fail. The B vent might requite off bad vapours when heated, depends on the blazon of paint.
My concern is the rusted line shown in the pic. Is information technology an outdoor hose tapped in.
Whats the acme of the tank look like?Any more pics???

Looks similar flexible copper connector made for WHs sitting on a nipple and coupling off the dielectric nipple. Rust may indicate excessive humidity sweating on the common cold inlet.
Foam insulation too close to unmarried walled connector-6". Shouldn't employ elbow right off draft hood.
Draft hood appears to be working by spilling flue gases--need combustion analysis.
Y'all cannot 'cover' vent connector with anything. While the first intent on this code was to go along insulation wraps off, it ways anything that will obstruct visual inspection of the condition of the connector and joints. Paint volition mask corrosion so all the painted pipe should be replaced. Since it is in a garage, it must be B-vent for an unconditioned space.
What does this vent into?
Keep the fire in the fireplace.

Re: Painted exhaust vent
Occasionally I come across things similar that painted white. When I meet white paint I tend to look further. Could in that location perchance have been a burn down? Its cheaper than changing the ducts etc. JMO
